What is Somatic Reparenting?

Your body remembers everything - not just physical experiences, but emotional ones too. Just like your muscles remember how to ride a bike, your nervous system remembers how to respond to stress, relationships, and daily life based on your earliest experiences. Sometimes these responses served you well as a child but create challenges as an adult. You might find yourself:

  • feeling anxious or overwhelmed even when life is going well

  • struggling with boundaries - saying yes when you mean no, or pushing people away when you want connection

  • experiencing intense reactions that seem bigger than the situation warrants

  • feeling disconnected from your body, emotions, or intuition

  • repeating relationship patterns despite your best intentions

Somatic reparenting works with your body’s innate wisdom to create new neural pathways - literally teaching your nervous system what secure attachment, emotional regulation, and self-compassion feel like from the inside out.

Inner Child Work

Reconnecting with Your Authentic Self

Inner child work is a transformative process of gently exploring the parts of ourselves that formed during childhood—especially those shaped by unmet needs, emotional wounds, or limiting beliefs. These early experiences often influence how we think, feel, and behave as adults, sometimes in ways we're not even aware of.

In coaching, inner child work helps you:

  • Identify patterns rooted in past experiences

  • Cultivate self-compassion and emotional resilience

  • Heal limiting beliefs that no longer serve you

  • Reconnect with creativity, joy, and a deeper sense of self-worth

This work is not about dwelling in the past, but about creating a safe and empowering path forward. By building a relationship with your inner child, you can begin to live from a place of wholeness, confidence, and clarity.

How This Work Creates Change

Rather than just taking about your experiences, we engage with them through your body’s: sensations, movement, and breath. This allows healing to happen at the level where trauma and early conditioning are actually stored.

Sensations

By tuning into subtle bodily sensations—the flutter in your chest, the weight in your shoulders, the expansion of your breath—we bypass the thinking mind to connect directly with your body's stored experiences and activate its natural capacity for reparenting and repair

Movement

Using slow, mindful movement—from subtle shifts in breathing to fuller body expressions—we help your system integrate new experiences of safety and nurturing while releasing stored tension and trauma

Breath

We work with the natural rhythm of your breath as a bridge between your conscious awareness and autonomic nervous system, using gentle breathing practices to activate your body's innate capacity for self-regulation and nurturing.

Why is Somatic Reparenting a transformative therapy?

Somatic reparenting is a gentle yet powerful process that helps you reconnect with your body, heal early attachment wounds, and cultivate the inner safety you may not have experienced growing up. By engaging both mind and body, this work supports lasting transformation rather than surface-level change.

🌿 Cultivating Inner Safety
Somatic reparenting helps you create a reliable sense of safety within yourself. This provides a foundation for calm, resilience, and the ability to meet life’s challenges without feeling overwhelmed.

💗 Healing Attachment Wounds
By tending to younger parts of you that still carry hurt, you learn to give yourself the care, attunement, and compassion you may not have received. You can release patterns of fear or disconnection and open to healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

🌊 Navigate emotions with more ease
Instead of feeling overwhelmed by stress or anxiety, you’ll discover tools to regulate your nervous system and move through emotions with greater calm.

Quiet the inner critic
Somatic reparenting helps soften harsh self-talk, replacing it with kindness, patience, and encouragement.

🌀 Reconnect with your body
Many of us learned to disconnect from our bodies as a way to cope. This work invites you back into a more trusting and compassionate relationship with your body, inviting pathways to vitality, intuition and wholeness.

🌸 Make room for joy
As your nervous system heals, space opens up for more playfulness, creativity, pleasure and moments of genuine aliveness - the parts of you that have been overshadowed by survival.
